Every Thursday, 18- to 25-year-olds flock to Lost to see break dancing in the opening hours. By 2 a.m., the whole club is dancing to American hip hop (read: 50 Cent, Kanye), and by 5 a.m. the DJ switches to mild electronica and reggaeton.
The wanna-be-American break dancing really is a highlight. Some breakers are good, others are just learning, and are much more entertaining for it. There isn’t much else to do on Thursdays, so you might as well get a taste of what young Argentines think about American hip hop culture.
