A local favorite, Reencuentro (meaning “reunite” or “another meeting”) offers tenedor libre (directly translated as “free fork”), or the power to order anything you want off the menu while you’re there, for only AR$30. It’s a made-to-order buffet! Thankfully, tenedor libre restaurants are common in Argentina. This one has a particularly great quality of meat and a wonderful pasta menu as well, so you don’t overdo it on the proteins. Try the tallarines con champiñones, or big pasta shells stuffed with a creamy mushroom sauce. This just might be my favorite restaurant in the entire city.
