A gift-giver’s haven, with cards, jewelry and bath products
The owner is Parisian, and it’s quite apparent when you walk into this crowded (but comfortable) home away from France. She puts an American twist on the typical Parisian shopper’s mantra (“spending more money on fewer items beats hoards of cheap junk”), by keeping a well-curated, high quality collection of affordably-priced clothing.
She stocks her space with handmade greeting cards covered in bows and ribbons, silk scarves and sweaters. Marie Parie carries a huge selection of TokyoMilk beauty products — hard to find in large quantities (which is essential to be able to smell every intoxicating lip balm and lotion). Her jewelry selection is best for its long charm necklaces and one-of-a-kind earrings.
Look out for clothing sales, advertised on a chalk sandwich board outside, when you’ll find pretty lace dresses and rocker tees at up to 50 percent off.
