Evanston Art Center

A converted mansion is a haven for local art

The Evanston Art Center is a focal point for art on the North Shore, and what I like to consider the intersection of community and culture. It is housed in a gorgeous lakefront mansion just north of Northwestern University, and inside has space for studios and art classes (Aubrey Niffenegger, author of The Time Traveler’s Wife, was on the faculty) and galleries on the main floor. Stop by and stop in; both the property and art are beautiful.
