A trattoria with unpretentious yet tasty Italian fare
This is probably my favorite restaurant in New Jersey. The whitewashed and windowed walls lend an airy, relaxed feel to the trattoria and the bar, which occupies about a third of the restaurant adds to the casualness. But they take their food seriously here and offer a well-rounded menu of Italian fare using fresh, local ingredients. The pizza is thin, tasty and crispy, while the pasta dishes are light yet rich with flavor. Some personal favorites are the Ravioli di Zucca (butternut squash stuffed pasta, pancetta, roasted chestnuts, sage broth, crumbled amaretti) and Pasta Integrale (whole wheat pasta, roasted eggplant, low fat ricotta, plum tomato basil sauce).
Teresa’s is also part of the Terra Momo Restaurant group, which has a few other food spots right in Princeton, as well. If the prices are a little much for you at dinner, try it for lunch. They only take reservations for weekend brunch, so get there early at any other time. Or, take a stroll around Palmer Square while you wait.
