A popular dessert stop with fresh, traditional ice cream

Central New Jersey is home to Halo Dairy Farm and its two rustic dessert outposts, one in downtown Princeton. The ingredients are fresh — straight from the nearby farm — and they do classic flavors well, in addition to a few more interesting options (such as maple walnut). An adjoining storefront also sells pastries and decadent desserts. Best of all, it’s definitely college-budget friendly. This has been a family favorite for years, and I don’t think the prices have risen more than 25 cents in 10 years.
